A Hells Angels supporter has had his Harley Davidson motorbike seized under anti-hooning laws, after doing burnouts in front of a police car.

Police said that 22 year old rider, wearing Hells Angels supporter clothing, was doing burnouts about 10am on Saturday as he left the NT Motorcycle Centre in Winnellie in front of Taskforce members in an unmarked police car.

Territory Watch Commander Lee Morgan said the rider’s bike was seized for 48 hours under anti hooning legislation and the motorcycle was defected.

“The owner of the motorcycle will now be responsible for paying the cost of the tow truck before his motorcycle is released,” he said. “This type of immature and unsafe behaviour on our roads will not be tolerated.”
