Motorcycle ride and Silent Auction to raise money for cancer

ALLIANCE, Neb. The Punishers Midwest Club is hosting their 10th Annual Motorcycle Poker Run to raise money for Jane’s Closet.

Jane’s Closet is used to help those impacted by cancer with expenses for food, travel and hotels.

At this event, you can join the Poker Run and Stand up for Cancer Silent Auction.

Registration for the Poker Run goes between 8:30am to 9:45am on Saturday, September 21st.

The Kickstand Up will be at 10:00am.

The riders will be $25.00 but a same bike rider will be $15.00.

They will start at the Eagles Club, head to Prairie Winds Community Center in Bridgeport, Pink Palace in McGrew, the gas station in Minatare and head back to the Eagle Clubs in Alliance.

The Silent Auction will run from 8:30am to 6:00pm inside the Eagles Club.

They will provide $6,000 worth of auction items.

They say it’s important for the community to get involved.

“Just helping our community out and helping people who can’t help themselves,” said Dale Van Galdier III, President. “The cancer is such a bad thing and it’s so expensive. If we can raise money to help that, it’s awesome.”

In 2018, they raised $5,000.

In previous years, they raised between $3,000 to $10,000.

Their goal is to raise $10,000.

They would like to thank Williams Jewelers, Harris Sales, Grocery Cart, Pepsi and Guardian Belles Sisterhood.
