SA Police looking for sixth man over alleged murder of Jason De Ieso

Jason De Ieso was murdered in late 2012

Police are now looking for a sixth man over the alleged shooting murder of Jason De Ieso at Pooraka in 2012.

Key points:

  • Jason De Ieso was allegedly murdered at his panel-beating business in 2012
  • Five men were charged over his death early last month
  • Police are now looking for a sixth man, Kyle Lloyd Pryde

A warrant for the arrest of Kyle Lloyd Pryde was issued late last month, but revealed by SA Police today after they failed to find him.

SA Police said Mr Pryde — who previously lived in Newton, north-east of Adelaide — has been a member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club “North Crew” since about 2011.

Five other men have been charged in connection to the case, and their identities remain suppressed.

Police have previously said Mr De Ieso was innocently caught up in a dispute between the Hells Angels and Finks bikie clubs in 2012.

They said the 33-year-old man’s only mistake was maintaining a childhood friendship with a man who went on to become a Fink bikie.

CCTV footage from Mr De Ieso’s Unique Custom Paint and Panel business, previously released by police, showed nine men walking towards the front of the workshop on the day he was shot.

Prosecutors last week dropped charges against a 26-year-old Gold Coast woman charged in connected with Mr De Ieso’s alleged murder.

A 31-year-old Salisbury Downs man has also been charged with assisting an offender.

Wanted man considered dangerous

SA Police Major Crime Investigation Branch officer in charge Detective Superintendent Des Bray said Pryde should be considered dangerous because of his alleged involvement in the murder and his potential access to firearms.

Superintendent Bray said he should not be approached if spotted by a member of the public, but urged them to make a call to triple zero.

“If Kyle Pryde becomes aware of this public release of information, I would urge him to consider his actions,” he said.

“He should reconsider what he is doing, contact a solicitor and surrender to police.”

Police said Mr Pryde was 178 centimetres tall, 100 kilograms, with a light complexion, brown eyes and short brown hair.

He has a range of distinctive tattoos on his arms, lower leg and back, including some relating to the Hells Angels.
