SAPOL searched alleged OMC member’s house in Whyalla

Police have arrested three people from Whyalla that allegedly have links to an Outlaw Motorcycle Club on drug trafficking charges.

On Wednesday, July 17 police stopped and searched a car at Dublin allegedly locating approximately 170 grams of what is believed to be methamphetamine wrapped in duct tape.

A 26-year-old man and 26-year-old woman both from Whyalla Playford were arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug and bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on December 12.

Following further investigation, on Monday September 2, Detectives from Crime Gangs Task Force searched a house on Mildred Street Whyalla Norrie, allegedly finding more $3000 in cash.

A 36-year-old man from Whyalla Norrie was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of the cash and also trafficking a controlled drug in relation the drugs located in the vehicle back in July.

The Whyalla Norrie man has been bailed to appear in the Whyalla Magistrates Court on October 28.

Crime Gangs Task Force Investigators believe the Whyalla Norrie man is a member of an Outlaw Motorcycle Club (OMC).
