Senior Hells Angel arrested over drug offences at Yarrawonga

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 26-year-old male and a 46-year-old male in relation to alleged drug offences in Yarrawonga.

On 8 January 2020, Detectives from Drug and Organised Crime Gangs Taskforce executed a search warrant at a commercial premises in Yarrawonga.

Detectives seized numerous items during the warrant including a replica firearm, firearms parts, ammunition, drugs, and $35,000 cash.

At the conclusion of the warrant the two males were arrested.

The 26-year-old male was charged with:

1 x Possess Schedule 1 Dangerous Drug – Less Than Traffickable

1 x Possess tainted property

1 x Possess a prohibited weapon

1 x Drive with prohibited drug in body

1 x Possess fireworks

1 x Supply Schedule 1 Dangerous Drug – Less Than Commercial Quantity

1 x Possess thing to administer dangerous drug

7 x Fail to meet storage requirements

2 x Possess / use firearm whilst unlicensed

5 x Possess ammunition without a licence

The 46-year-old male, who is a senior member of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Club, was charged with:

1 x Supply Schedule 1 Dangerous Drug – Less Than Commercial Quantity

1 x Possess tainted property

1 x Possess a prohibited weapon

1 x Drive with prohibited drug in body

1 x Possess Schedule 1 Dangerous Drug – Less Than Traffickable

Both men were remanded overnight to appear in court today.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Chris Ruzsicska said, “We will continue to attempt to detect and disrupt criminal activities being undertaken by members of any criminal enterprise. The supply of methamphetamine is a serious matter and if you are dealing in these substances it is only a matter of time until you are caught”.
