A High-ranking Outlaws MC member, who was identified by some sources as Duncan John Godwin, 53, has been charged after allegedly firing shots during a domestic violence-related incident in western Sydney yesterday.
About 5pm (Monday 1 March 2021), a man attended a house on O’Connell Street, Caddens, declaring he wanted to see a younger man, who is known to him.
Fearing for his safety, the younger man has left the house through a rear door.
The man then forced his way through the front door, before going upstairs, where he found a woman and a four-year-old boy, both known to him, hiding in a bathroom.
The man made verbal threats before allegedly pointing a firearm at the woman. He then fired a round into the floor, before walking downstairs, where multiple rounds were fired.
The man then left the premises.
Following inquiries, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command arrested a 53-year-old man at a house in Langmead Road, Silverdale, about 9.20pm.
The man, a high-ranking member of the Outlaws MC, was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence – weapon, two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic), use unregistered firearm – pistol, use unauthorised pistol, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, and fire firearm manner likely injure persons/property.
He was refused bail.
Mr Godwin will next appear at Penrith Local Court on April 31.
