ALMELO – Michel B. (54), one of the founders of the now banned Satudarah motorcycle club, does not have to go to jail for the time being.

On Monday afternoon, he was acquitted of prohibited possession of weapons by the court in Almelo. Two weeks ago, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) had demanded a year in prison against him, but the judges found that the weapon found during a search of his girlfriend’s home in Enschede was his.

Two other members of the former motorcycle club were convicted of possession of weapons. They were sentenced to nine and five months in prison. They had known that two other weapons that were also found during the raid were theirs.

There is also a case against Michel B. for possession of weapons, extortion, money laundering and management of a criminal organization at the court in Zwolle.
