Serious and Organised Crime detectives have today released images of vehicles they believe are linked with a series of recent violent incidents.
As part of a continuing investigation into five fires and two shootings all linked to Outlaw Motorcycle Clubs and a drug debt, police have today published three images captured from CCTV footage, while seeking information from the public.
Detective Superintendent Mark Trenwith, the officer in charge of the SA Police Serious and Organised Crime Branch said the identification and location of the vehicles.
The vehicles are linked to the following matters:
- About 3.30am on Thursday 8 August 2019, a food truck was deliberately set alight at a property on King St, Mile End.
2. About 8.15pm on Monday 12 August shots were fired at Wood Street, Ascot Park.
3. About 4.50am on Wednesday 14 August 2019 a business on Clark Tce, Seaton was deliberately set alight.
4. About 7.30am on Friday 16th August 2019, a drive by shooting occurred at 14 Classic Ct, West Lakes.
5. About 4am on Tuesday 20 August 2019 a vehicle was deliberately set alight in the driveway of a property on Douglas St, Lockleys.
Detective Superintendent Trenwith said police are continuing to actively investigate and target OMCG members and associates as part of this investigation.
“We are following strong lines of inquiry and make no apology for targeting them and people doing business with them,” he said.
“We have been clear that this type of public violence to totally unacceptable and our investigators will use every lawful means available to disrupt these unlawful activities.”
He said that more than 80 homes and business have been searched during the investigation, with more likely to take place in coming days.
To date two people have been arrested in relation to drug production and trafficking offences and one for breaching a firearms prohibition order.
Twelve people have been reported for drug offences and 34 vehicles were defected on Wednesday (21 August).
“This investigation is progressing in a positive direction, but today I ask the community to look at these images and consider carefully if they may have information of value to us,” he said.
