Former Comanchero charged over road rage

A FORMER Comanchero bikie jailed for his part in the Father’s Day massacre at the Viking Tavern in 1984 is in trouble with the law again after being charged with chasing and ramming a motorcycle rider with his car after an argument in a Sydney street.

Glen Anthony Eaves was one of 30-odd bikies from the Comancheros and Bandidos involved in a fight in a hotel car park in Milperra

which left six bikies dead as well as 14 year-old bystander, Leanne Walters.

Eaves served about five years jail. Police allege that last Friday night Eaves was involved in a dispute with a 23-year-old man and tried to shove him off his motorcycle. Eaves then allegedly got in his car and chased the man for two kilometres before crashing into him with his vehicle at Ian Parade in Concord and leaving the scene.

The rider was taken to hospital with a serious back injury.

On Saturday police went to a home in Northcote St, Mortlake where they seized a car and clothing as well as other items for forensic testing. They also obtained CCTV footage.

Eaves was charged with drive furiously to cause bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm.

He has been granted conditional bail, to appear before Burwood Local Court on June 1.
