Police have stepped up patrols of a southside suburb in a bid to target motorcycle clubs after two men were arrested yesterday following a brawl in a pub.
A suburb south of Brisbane is being targeted by police watching for motorcycle clubs after police yesterday charged two men following a brawl in a popular Loganholme pub in March.
Mongrel Mob and Finks motorcycle clubs members were believed to be involved in a brawl at a popular Loganholme pub.
A 23-year-old man from Sunnybank Hills and a 29-year-old man from Boronia Heights were fined for offences to do with being part of a club and being public nuisances.
Police also charged a Mount Cotton man and a man from Oxenford, believed to be linked with the Bandidos MC.
Officer-in-charge of Taskforce Maxima, which patrols, Detective Sen-Sgt Troy Lehmann said it was illegal to associate or keep company with motorcycle clubs members.
He said police would continue to target motorcycle clubs in the Loganholme area.
“We will continue to suppress gang-related violence within Gold Coast and Logan community, taking action at every opportunity to disrupt their illegal, and anti-social behaviour,” he said.
