Three alleged Finks bikies charged as police seize drugs, taser in western Sydney raids

Three alleged members of the Finks MC have been charged under NSW’s strict anti-consorting laws after strike force police raided properties across western Sydney today that allegedly netted the seizure of drugs and a taser.

The men – aged 32, 36 and 38 – from Shalvey, Mount Annan and Rosemeadow respectively were arrested during the early morning raids about 6.30am on Wednesday.

Police will allege in court the 38-year-old is a senior member of the Finks, while the younger men are also members of the motorcycle club.

All three were charged with habitually consorting with convicted offenders after a warning and granted conditional bail to appear in court at later dates.

The arrests came as part of an operation targeting the disruption of “criminal networks” led by the State Crime Command’s Strike Force Ares.

Acting on information, and with the help of Strike Force Raptor, detectives searched six homes at Rosemeadow, Oakhurst, Whalan, Mount Annan and Shalvey on Wednesday morning.

During the searches officers allegedly seized mobile phones, clothing, an electronic stun device, cannabis and an amount of MDMA, which will all be subject to further examination.

The Whalan man was taken to Mt Druitt police station and issued a court attendance notice to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court on Wednesday, August 12.

The Mount Annan man was taken to Narellan Police Station and granted strict conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday, July 14.

The Rosemeadow man was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and granted strict conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Monday, August 3.

Investigations under Strike Force Ares continue.
