A senior member of the Satudarah MC has been charged by Strike Force Raptor investigators with an outstanding warrant for drug-related offences following a vehicle stop in Sydney’s west.
As part of ongoing targeting and disruption of the “illicit activities of criminal networks”, police from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor stopped a Holden sedan at the intersection of Pitt Street and the Great Western Highway, Parramatta, on Thursday 4 June 2020.
During a search of the vehicle, detectives seized more than $5,600 cash, a spring-loaded knife and equipment consistent with the supply of prohibited drugs.
Checks revealed the driver, a 40-year-old man, was wanted on an outstanding warrant and he was arrested.
The Queanbeyan man was also subjected to a random roadside breath and drug test, and allegedly returned a positive result to the drug test before being taken to Parramatta Police Station.
A secondary oral fluid test returned a positive result for methylamphetamine (ice). The sample has been sent for further analysis.
The man, who is a senior Satudarah MC member, was charged with two counts of goods in personal custody suspected being stolen and custody of knife in public place.
He was also charged with the outstanding warrant for drug-related offences.
The man was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court on Friday 5 June 2020, where he was granted strict conditional bail to reappear at the same court today (Thursday 16 July 2020).
Investigations are continuing.
