It’s among the most secretive arms of law enforcement – now, as eight alleged Hells Angels members or associates face court charged with murdering Jason De Ieso, the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission has been ordered to open its files.
One of Australia’s most secretive law enforcement agencies has been ordered to reveal its confidential files on the alleged bikie ambush murder of Jason De Ieso to a court.
The Adelaide Magistrates Court will take possession of the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission’s dossier while hearing the case against Mr De Ieso’s eight alleged killers.
A magistrate will read what, if anything, was said in two days of coercive hearings about the accused – and determine whether it should be shared with defence lawyers.
Mr De Ieso was shot and killed during an attack upon his Pooraka workshop in November 2012.
The eight men are charged with his murder are:
Ross William Montgomery, 35
Daniel Mark Jalleh, 31
Musa Ali Alzuain, 27
Mohamed Alzuain, 28
Husain Ali Alzuain, 32
Kyle Lloyd Pryde, 32
Nicholas Sianis, 33
Seywan Moradi, 33
Each man is accused of being a member or an associate of the Hells Angels MC.
A 10th suspect has since taken his own life while Jake Byron Martin-Herde, 31, is charged with assisting an offender.
