A high-ranking Gold Coast bikie who allegedly taunted cops on his social media has been hunted down and nabbed in Western Sydney. “F**k Raptor. They can’t catch me,” he allegedly posted shortly before his arrest.
A Finks bikie leader who was on the run from police in Queensland and regularly taunted officers on social media, has been arrested in western Sydney.
Tayne Clarkson, 21, president of the Gold Coast chapter of the Finks MC, was nabbed by Strike Force Raptor detectives in Mt Druitt on Thursday, with two warrants out for his arrest.
According to court documents, Clarkson had been on the run from police over an alleged armed robbery in company and grievous bodily harm.
Despite fleeing Queensland, NSW Police had been tracking Clarkson online, following his Instagram account, “Cashedarp”, where he often bragged about evading arrest.
In one post, police allege Clarkson wrote: “F**k Raptor. They can’t catch me.”
Police initially alleged seeing a firearm in the background of one of Clarkson’s Instagram live videos.
Tracing his movements to a house in Tregear, police observed Clarkson leave the property on Rymill Rd with two associates at 1pm on July 23, before officers in an armed and dangerous vehicle pulled him over on the Great Western Highway in Mt Druitt.
