A 31-year-old Gulfview Heights man has today been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of Mark Boyce in 2017.

He is the second person to be charged with murder after member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club Joshua Grant was convicted in June 2019.

Mr Boyce died in hospital on 8 February, 2017 as a result of injuries he suffered in a serious assault by three men on Hill Street at Elizabeth South on the evening on Monday 30 January. Two vehicles transported the attackers to and from the scene.

In September 2019, one of the vehicles, a Toyota Echo was located on a Hells Angels Motorcycle Club property on Ponde – it was found four metres underground, cut up and burned.

The owner of that vehicle was the man arrested and charged this morning. He will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

Police are still searching for the second vehicle – a 2013 Toyota RAV4 (S867AVO).

“This has been a challenging and lengthy inquiry, which will continue as we seek to build a brief of evidence against the third suspect,” Major Crime Investigation Branch, Detective Superintendent Des Bray said.

Police have advised the family of Mr Boyce of today’s developments.
