Strike Force Raptor have charged four men following an investigation into an alleged criminal syndicate involved in the supply of cocaine, methylamphetamine and prohibited weapons across Sydney.
In May this year, officers from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor commenced an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs and illegal weapons across Sydney.
Following extensive inquiries, a 42-year-old Guildford man was arrested during a vehicle stop at James Ruse Drive, Rosehill, just before 5.30pm last Tuesday (8 September 2020).
A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in police locating almost 300g of cocaine under the front passenger seat, which was seized for further examination.
The man, who is a Hells Angels MC associate, was taken to Granville Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity).
He appeared at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 9 September 2020, where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on Thursday 29 October 2020.
As part of ongoing inquiries, Strike Force Raptor investigators, with assistance from the Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS) and the Dog Unit, executed four search warrants at units at Rhodes and Homebush from 6.30am on Wednesday (16 September 2020).
A Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) search was also conducted at a home at Greenacre.
During the searches, officers seized more than $108,000 cash, about 180g of methylamphetamine (ice), cocaine, cannabis and prescription medication.
Mobile phones, documentation and two flick knives were also seized.
A 26-year-old Rhodes man was arrested and taken to Concord Hospital, before being taken to Burwood Police Station.
The man, who is a former Brothers for Life member, was charged with 24 offences including; 13 counts of supply prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), two counts of supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception, three counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, knowingly direct activities of criminal group, two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit and possess prohibited drug.
He was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Friday 18 September 2020).
Two men – both aged 24 – were also arrested during the operation and taken to Burwood Police Station.
The 24-year-old Rhodes man was charged with eight counts of supply prohibited drug, two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), supply cannabis (indictable quantity), four counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
He appeared at Burwood Local Court yesterday (Thursday 17 September 2020), where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on Wednesday 18 November 2020.
The 24-year-old Homebush man was charged with supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), two counts of possess prohibited drug and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Monday 12 October 2020.
Investigations are continuing.
