Two suspected Hells Angels associates have appeared in court following a nationwide police raid on the motorcycle club.

Barry Hunt, 42, and Guy Capponi, 61, were both arrested and charged with supply commercial quantity of dangerous drug, possess dangerous drug, possess firearms unlicensed and possess ammunition unlicensed after a police raid on their homes on Wednesday.

Prosecutors allege that Capponi was involved in a drug supply operation based on CCTV video showing how a man who looks like defendant picking up a parcel from a Post Office box in Howard Springs, which police had previously intercepted and found to contain 55g of “reconstructed ice gel”.

Two weeks later police executed search warrant in Capponi ‘s home. Also police allege that as a result of search warrant execution in Hunt’s home in Humpty Doo, they found a number of keys belonging to Capponi, including a PO Box key.

Also police allegedly found weapons, mobile phones and small amount of cannabis in Hunt’s home, meanwhile Hunt claims that phones aren’t working.

Shane McMaster, Hunt’s solicitor, claimed that these findings were not enough to prove his client was involved in a drug supply operation.

Despite opposition of prosecutor, Hunt was granted bail on the $2000 of surety and condition to reported to police every week.

Peter Maley, Capponi’s barrister, also applied for bail on behalf of his client, but the application being adjourned to next week.
