According to police, a 32-year-old Shailer Park man, who has been charged with attempted murder, allegedly slit the other man’s throat during a serious assault at a Logan home on Sunday afternoon.

The alleged offender has been identified as Jarrod Kevin Anthony Brown, an alleged member of the Bandidos MC.

Brown had his matter briefly mentioned in court today.

There was no application for bail.

He will front court again next month.

“Police will allege the man suffered significant injuries after being assaulted with a sharp instrument that caused a severe laceration to his throat, as well significant injuries to his chest, abdomen and head,” the Queensland Police Service said in a statement.

Police became aware of the horrific incident at around 3.15pm on Sunday, after attending the man’s Quinzeh Creek Rd, Logan Village, home to conduct a welfare check.

The man was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, where he remains in an induced coma.

The Courier-Mail understands the two men were not known to each other.

It’s also understood the incident may have been sparked when the homeowner allegedly spotted a man riding a dirt bike on his property in the days prior to the incident, and asked the man to leave his property.

Yesterday afternoon, police found and charged Brown with one count each of attempted murder, enter dwelling with intent and contravening order about information necessary to access information.

Police investigations are ongoing.
