New Zealand: Charges dropped against woman after Kaiapoi double shooting

Charges that were filed against a 31-year-old woman after a double shooting at a property in Kaiapoi last week have been withdrawn.

Tove Jonna Paranihi was charged with unlawfully possessing a firearm and ammunition. She appeared in the Christchurch District Court on Tuesday where the charges against her were dismissed.

Allegations against two men who were charged alongside Paranihi – Jarrad James Ronald Singer and Mokonuiarangi Tuatahi Chong – remain in place.
