Police seized $1.5 million (4.4kg) of the drug methylamphetamine (ice) after detectives raided an address at Cobbitty on Friday March 13.
Detectives charged a Lone Wolf MC member with an outstanding warrant after $1.5 million worth methylamphetamine, $110,000 cash and a handgun were seized in the search.
As part of ongoing targeting and disruption of the illicit activities of criminal networks, police from the Criminal Groups Squad, together with Queensland Police (QPOL), executed a search warrant at a home on Matavai Street, Cobbitty, on Friday March 13.
During the search, officers seized more than $110,000 cash and a loaded pistol located inside a shoebox, as well as ammunition, two ballistic vests, mobile phones, electronic storage devices and documentation.
Following extensive inquiries, officers arrested a 21-year-old man at Surry Hills Police Station just before 5pm on Monday April 6.
The man was charged with an outstanding warrant for supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), possess unregistered firearm, two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, not keep firearm safely, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
