The girlfriend of one of the men accused of being a one of the main players involved in a Mackay-based ice syndicate and by suggestions of police linked to a bikie club is also facing drug and weapons charges.
Kristen Lee Pulfer, a girlfriend of Jack Michael Thomson, is facing eight charges including aggravated drug possession, possessing weapons and breaching bail.
Her boyfriend, Mr Thomson is charged with 26 offences including trafficking and possessing drugs and weapons. He recently pleaded guilty to breaching bail for failing to report on August 14 this year.
He testified that he was confused with the public holidays and his girlfriend’s work schedule and as a result failed report to police in time.
Court decided to fine him on $400 and a conviction was not recorded.
The couple is among a number of people arrested and charged earlier this year as part of police operation Romeo Suitcase.
The operation targeted an alleged drug network that spanned from the Gold Coast to Cairns over six months and by allegations of police was linked to the Finks Motorcycle Club.
The cases against Ms.Pulfer and Mr.Thomson are expected to return to Mackay Magistrates Court next month.
