Three people have been arrested and are expected to be charged over the shooting death of Jason De Ieso at his Adelaide business in 2012.
Two men were arrested in Adelaide on Friday and are expected to be charged with murder, police say.
A woman was also taken into custody in Queensland and SA police will apply for her extradition on a charge of assisting the offenders.
In 2013, police released chilling footage of nine men, including six armed with guns, marching into Mr De Ieso’s workshop where the 33-year-old spray-painter was shot dead. The CCTV footage shows the hooded men, believed to be Hells Angels and their associates, striding to the front door before shots are fired and the men run from the scene.
Police believe the shooting was linked to rivalry between the Hells Angels and the Finks bikie clubs but stress that Mr De Ieso was an innocent bystander. At the time, Mr De Ieso’s family also made a plea for public help, saying “an innocent life was taken by a cowardly and gutless act of criminal violence”.
He had no links to bikies apart from working on the bikes of some Finks members and associates, the family said in a statement.
