No Major Incidents During Hells Angels Ride Though Newfoundland and Labrador

Staff Sergeant Steve Conohan

It was a wary truce, but a gathering of outlaw motorcycle clubs in the province stayed relatively peaceful.

Staff Sergeant Steve Conohan is with RCMP Criminal Intelligence. He says a large group of Hells Angels from New Brunswick, along with Bacchus club members and supports were in the province, and have since left.

He says RCMP and RNC were watching them the entire time, and were in no way subtle about it.

He says as soon as the one-percenters arrived RCMP met with their leadership to talk about expectations, and they made their presence known every step of the way during their stay.

He says the overwhelming majority of motorcycle clubs in the province are law-abiding riders.
