The Hells Angels of Quebec met with supporting MCs in Saguenay

Hells Angels Quebec

The Hells Angels of Quebec met at the Au sucre d’or sugar shack in Laterrière on Saturday afternoon. About 50 motorcyclists were present and several others arrived by car, the majority of them rented.

A numerous bikers were in several groups affiliated to the Hells Angels, while only ten bore the colors of the Hells Angels. The bikers are not on their first visit to the region, they had already gathered Saint-Gédéon in the past.

The police had a nice surprise for the arrival of the largest Outlaw Motorcycle Club in Quebec. A welcoming committee was present on the road to the meeting point. The Saguenay Police Service and the Sûreté du Québec sent about 20 police officers who identified each person present. The authorities also took the opportunity to replenish their photo bank. The Regional Joint Squad (ERM), specialized in organized crime, was also present for identification.

The police proceeded to identify all the bikers in addition to searching their motorcycle. The authorities also took the opportunity to replenish their photo bank.

In addition to identifying of patchholders, the various police forces inspected all the vehicles that were traveling on the Chemin de la Chaîne. They took the time to photograph all the motorcycles, number plates and serial numbers.

According to information obtained by The Daily, there would have been 325 tickets sold at a cost of $ 50 per ticket for the fundraising dinner. The funds raised would be used to pay the legal fees of Bernard “Ben” Plourde, a member of the Hells Angels. Plourde is currently in prison. He had been arrested in August 2018 as part of ERM’s “Harmful” operation.

The bikers arrived by group from 3 pm Saturday. The first arrivals were the Bad Disciples, a recent group from the Laurentians region. In addition to their colors, the bikers sported the “Support 81” patch which demonstrates their support towards the Hells Angels.

Shortly after the Bad Disciples went to the search area, the Crazy Bastards, from Montreal, followed and had to go through the same process. The Quebec City Red Devils arrived later.

Worries

The presence of the Hells in the region raised several questions. Among other things, the reason why the sugar bush Au sucre d’or accepted this rally. The leaders told the media earlier this week that they did not know the reservation was for the Outlaw Motorcycle Club. The reservation was made for some time already.

The arrival of the Hells Angels also worried many Laterrois who were not happy to see members of OMC in the area.

Other residents of the area had a different opinion about this visit. They were not at all disturbed by the presence of bikers, particularly because of the increased police surveillance and the location of the meeting. Au sucre d’or sugar bush is located about four kilometers from the nearest residences and is located in the middle of the forest.
