A woman charged in connection with the 2012 murder of Adelaide spray painter Jason De Ieso has had the allegations against her withdrawn.
The woman had been charged with assisting an offender, but prosecutor Jim Pearce tendered no evidence when the case came before Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday to review secrecy provisions.
Five men with links to the Hells Angels bikie gang have been charged with the murder of Mr De Ieso, who was gunned down at his Adelaide workshop.
Another man has been charged with assisting an offender. All of the suspects continue to have their identities concealed by a suppression order, with Mr Pearce asking for that order to continue for another three weeks. It will be reviewed again on September 27.
Mr De Ieso’s killing is alleged to have been sparked by a protracted feud between the Hells Angels and the Finks gangs.
But police said the 33-year-old had no links to either gang and was an “innocent bystander”.
In 2013, they released CCTV video of nine men, including six armed with guns, marching into his workshop before shots are fired.
The men then ran from the scene.
The substantive case against the accused will return to court in December, when prosecutors will finalise the charges they will face.
