CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Local veterans and bikers banded together to take a stand against domestic violence.
They did it with a ride called “The ride for the Purple Door” that started at Corpus Christi Harley Davidson.
Bikers listened to a safety briefing before hitting the road around 11 Saturday morning.
Organizers say most of the bikers were veterans who like to help the community.
The event raises money through donations and a silent auction.
The money goes to the non-profit group, “The Purple Door,” which works to prevent domestic violence and help victims in the community.
