Biker Chapel uses a drive-in approach to keep church services going for motorcycle clubs

FORT PIERCE, Fl. (CBS12) — Biker Chapel in Fort Pierce has been using the drive-in approach to continue safely meeting for church services.

“With the drive in church, it’s absolutely wonderful, when you get the opportunity to hear the word of God and be in the safety of your car,” sadi Jeff Beaueoin, a member of the Biker Chapel.

Motorcycle club members and their families have been congregating in the Crossing Community Church parking lot to hold services.

“God and Jesus is essential, you know,” said Preacher Fred LaSala.

Bikers stay on their bikes and people stay in their cars and tune into service on the radio.

The group was inspired by the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches Drive-in church.

“Watching yall, Channel 12, we see a church down in the West Palm area did drive in church and I thought wow, what a great idea,” said LaSala.

Biker Chapel has done four drive-in services so far that include worship, a sermon, and collection.Biker Chapel is every Sunday morning at 8:30 at the Community Crossing Church parking lot. They also stream on Facebook.
