Mercanti’s charges were adjourned after his lawyer said he wished to have further discussions with police about them

High-profile bikie Troy Mercanti has briefly appeared in court to face allegations he breached his post sentence supervision order.

Mr Mercanti, 52, was most recently arrested by detectives from the Gang Crime Squad in April.

He was hit with three new charges of breaching his post-sentence supervision order. The latest allegations relate to alleged breaches of the order in February, March and April this year in Victoria Park, Mindarie and Currambine.

In the Perth Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday Mr Mercanti’s three charges were adjourned after his lawyer Paul Holmes said he wished to have further discussions with police about the new charges.

Mr Mercanti’s bail was renewed and the case will come back to court on June 3.

Police allege Mr Mercanti breached his supervision order on one occasion by meeting with 12 people at a restaurant for a birthday party. Among those who attended was an alleged bikie associate, a court was previously told.

In another separate allegation, he is accused of eating at a Currambine bistro, which police allege breaches his order because the restaurant trades under a tavern liquor licence.

Mr Mercanti was placed on a supervision order on his release from a near seven-year stint behind bars over the brutal and repeated bashing of his then partner Tammy Kingdon.

Mr Mercanti is already facing one count of breaching the order in January when he allegedly met with a bikie associate at Bathers Beach Cafe in Fremantle.

He has already pleaded not guilty to that charge and is due to go to trial in September.
