A group of bikies who allegedly beat a man with a tyre iron in revenge for a nude photo scandal were being watched by undercover police as they stormed the man’s home in broad daylight, the County Court heard yesterday.

Nathan ‘Chop’ Martinow, 42, was among four Finks members charged by bikie-busting detectives over the terrifying assault at the Hampton Park home on September 9, 2018.

Police allege the victim, Nicholas Gold, was attacked under the orders of Brent “BJ” Reker, who was avenging the “public humiliation” of female associate Tara Egglestone.

Covert listening devices, planted as part of a drug trafficking investigation, had recorded a conversation between Reker and the young mother on September 8, during which she claimed Mr Gold and another man had posted racy photos of her on Facebook.

The two officers stationed outside the home on the day of the attack had been instructed not to intercept the group for their own safety.

Reker died in prison in December last year while awaiting trial. Martinow was sentenced to three years and eight months in jail, with 570 days already served.
