Members of motorcycle club the Eureka Riders will be coming from as far as Caboolture to participate in a blanket drive for Tony’s Kitchen this weekend.

On May 30 riders will meet at the Freedom service station in Withcott at 8.30am or Goodna Hungry Jacks at 10am and ride to Toowoomba with donations of blankets and warm clothes for the homeless.

Paul Casey, treasurer of the Eureka Riders, has organised a blanket run.

Paul Casey organised the ride, which he said started off as just a ride with a few mates, but is open to anyone.

The only requirement is a donation for Tony’s Kitchen.

“It’s got a bit out of hand and I’m not sure what’s happening now, there could be five coming or there could be 50,” Mr Casey said. “So we’ll do it with coronavirus restrictions and go in groups of 10.

“There are some people coming from Caboolture and some from Ipswich who will be bringing blankets to donate to Tony’s Kitchen.”
