An Oakland County Circuit judge has lowered bond for a Pontiac man charged with a murder that happened in the bathroom of a motorcycle club in April 2019.
At a hearing conducted May 26 via videoconferencing, Judge Shalina Kumar said Gregory Kincade can get out of jail if he posts 10 percent of $500,000 in cash or surety and then be monitored by an electronic tether as he awaits retrial for the fatal shooting of Mecca Shea Ramsey, 41, at the Night Riders Motorcycle Club in Pontiac.
Kincade, 43, is also charged with intent to commit murder in the shooting of another man, Malcolm Chambers, in the club that same night, as well as firearms offenses.
Ramsey suffered 12 bullet wounds and died at the scene.
Kincade’s bond had been set at $750,000 cash or surety, but Kumar agreed to decrease it as requested by Kincade’s attorney.
Kincade’s trial had gotten underway in February, but a mistrial was declared three days later due to a medical condition reportedly suffered by his attorney, Jerome Sabbota. The retrial had been set for June 8 but will be rescheduled because of court restrictions due to Covid-19. That date is pending, though Kincade is scheduled for a pretrial hearing Aug. 11.
