Man acquitted over Hawi murder refused bail on gun charge

One of the men acquitted of murdering former bikie boss Mick Hawi has been refused bail on unrelated gun charges, after a court heard allegations he attempted to organise a drive-by shooting from jail and threatened to “put holes in” the lead officer investigating him.

Yusuf Nazlioglu, 39, was found not guilty in the NSW Supreme Court last month of fatally shooting Mr Hawi, the former national president of the Comanchero MC, who was killed in his car outside a gym in February 2018.
