A person of interest in the murder of Shane Bowden on the Gold Coast last month has been charged with supply of firearms, 9News reports.
Mr Bowden, who has been linked to both the Mongols and the Finks, was executed in the driveway of his girlfriend’s Pimpama property when he arrived there on October 12.
Jake Taylor, 25, has been described by police as “loosely associated” to members of the Mongols MC.
Police allege on the day of the murder Mr Taylor took two chests of firearms to a 21-year-old man’s address at Doolandella.
The 21-year-old has also been charged with weapons offences.
Police say there is no link between the firearms and the murder and he is not accused of being involved in Mr Bowden’s death.
Mr Taylor applied for bail in the Brisbane Magistrates Court but was denied.
