Trio in court on raft of charges after Mongrel Mob leader’s son shot in North Canterbury incident

Three people have been jointly charged in relation to a shooting in North Canterbury where the son of a prominent Mongrel Mob member was seriously injured.

One of those charged was one of the men shot in the fracas in Kaiapoi yesterday.

Fairmont Joseph Wiringi was rushed to Christchurch Hospital after being shot about 3.30am yesterday.

Wiringi’s father Joseph is a Mongrel Mob president and his brother Fairlane is also a patched member of the motorcycle club.
