Frankston Criminal Investigation Unit detectives have arrested three men after drugs and a loaded rifle where allegedly located inside a vehicle intercepted in Skye on Friday morning.
Investigators intercepted the Kia Sportage at a service station along the Westernport Highway about 1.50am after noticing three men at the petrol bowser.
The vehicle, which police were told was a hire car, was searched with detectives allegedly locating a quantity of drugs, steroids and a loaded sawn-off riffle.
Detectives later executed a subsequent search warrant at a Mount Eliza address where they allegedly located ammunition, steroids and what is believed to be methylamphetamine.
The garage on the property had also been turned into a motorcycle club clubhouse.
A 45-year-old Mount Eliza man, who is a Finks MC member, was charged with traffick and drug possession charges as well as prohibited person possess a firearm, possess unregistered handgun, possess cartridge ammunition without licence, commit indictable offence whilst on bail and contravene bail conditions.
He was remanded to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 19 February 2021.
A 21-year-old Cranbourne East man was charged with traffick methylamphetamine, possess amphetamine and possess unregistered handgun.
He was bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 26 November 2021.
A 35-year-old Mornington man was released pending further enquires.
