CLINTON, Md. — Prince George’s County Police continue to search for clues in connection to a deadly shooting that took place over the weekend in Clinton. On Monday afternoon, that search brought officers to a motorcycle club that sits not far from where the murder took place.
ABC 7 was there as investigators served a search warrant at a warehouse that belongs to the Road Wolves Motorcycle Club. The warehouse sits just off Old Alexandria Ferry Road in Clinton.
ABC7 has also learned members of the motorcycle club were gathered there on Friday night into Saturday morning.
Then just after one a.m. Saturday, police were called to the 7400 block of Old Alexandria Ferry Road in reference to a shooting. Two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds. One was rushed to the hospital with what’s believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, but the second victim died on the scene.
PGPD identified the victim as 52-year-old Stanley Gaskins Jr. of Washington, DC. Sources tell ABC7 Gaskins was a member of the Road Wolves Motorcycle Club. Sources also say the investigation is looking at whether another motorcycle club may have somehow been involved in the shooting.
On the Road Wolves motorcycle club Facebook page, the group is described as “A group of men and women who enjoy the thrill that comes from hitting the open road on two wheels. We are dedicated to projecting excellence in and outside of the motorcycle community, riding clean and living up to the motto on our patch: United as One, Lethal in Packs!”
Detectives and crime scene investigators spent several hours inside the motorcycle club’s warehouse on Monday afternoon. Motorcycles could be seen parked inside the garage, photos of the club’s members hung from the walls, and trophies lined the building’s back wall.
Police have said they do not believe Saturday’s deadly shooting was a random crime. No arrests have been made.
