B-N.C – Clovis Chikonga, 33, a Mongols MC bikie who tried to flush drugs into toilet while police raided his home has been sentenced to suspended term.
Clovis Chikonga was one of several bikies charged in police raids in Perth on February. Chikonga was arrested while being at his home in Butler and since that time has been in prison.
During the search at Chikonga’s home police found in total 2.3 grams of cocaine, some cannabis, vials with steroids and more than $23.000 in cash.
Water system in house was disabled before raid by police, so water with dissolved cocaine from toilet was seized too.
Chikonga pleaded guilty to possessing drugs to sell or supply, and in wilfully destroying evidence.
Based on guilty plead Judge Wendy Gillan said that she is not sure that immediate jail term is mandatory in that particular case and handed Chikonga with a 12 month jail term which is suspended for two years period.
Previous criminal career of Clovis Chikonga includes:
- 12-month jail sentence for threatening to slit the throat of a bouncer and wielding a knife in public
- 2-year sentence for contempt of court after refusing to co-operate with the Corruption and Crime Commission
- 4½ year stretch for deliberately driving a car into the bedroom of a Nollamara home.
