On Saturday, the Frackville Elks held their 13th Annual Motorcycle Ride for Veterans.
The annual event is held to raise money for the Elks National Veterans Service Commission and is one of the organization’s biggest fundraisers of the year.
All the proceeds from the event go directly to veterans in our area including those nursing homes as well as the VA hospital.
Over 150 motorcycles participated in the run that began at the Frackville Elks with kickstands up at 11:00am and visited the Andreas Sporting Club in Andreas, Riverwalck Saloon in Parryville, the Flying Aces Motorcycle Club in Weatherly, before returning to Frackville.
Lodge Secretary Bill Mack said that this was one of the largest turnouts ever for the event.
