IONIA — A local motorcycle club has raised more than $12,000 for Ionia Area Hospice — setting an all-time record.
The North Plains Loyal Riders M/C donated $12,270.50 to Ionia Area Hospice. The club raised the money through its 2020 Hospice run, which took place June 13. The amount doubled its previous high.
“In a year of uncertainty and economic hardships, the love and support from the community was unbelievable,” read a statement from the motorcycle club.
More than 70 businesses and people donated money for the 2020 Hospice run.
