Lawton man sentenced after pleading guilty to second degree manslaughter

LAWTON, Okla. – A Lawton man was sentenced on Wednesday for his part in a death that occurred in 2019 on a motorcycle club initiation.

According to records, Jeremiah Brown pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter.

Investigators say Brown shot and killed Mark Gustafson in what they say was a Deadman motorcycle club Nomads initiation.

Brown reportedly told investigators he didn’t know the gun was loaded at the time.

He was sentenced to serve two years in prison.
